BIO (Hanno Hoefer)

Hanno Hoefer is a musician, film director, screenwriter, actor, composer, and producer, with a background in history and ethnology. His extensive musical career includes being a founding member of the band Nightlosers, a collaborator in Harry Tavitian’s jazz project Orient Express, and a member of the power trio BluesCore.

BIO (Soul Serenade)

The two musicians seamlessly blend styles and aesthetics from the musical history of the United States in a purely acoustic format, drawing particular inspiration from the blues, jazz, and swing sounds of the 1930s and 1940s.

In March 2013, Soul Serenade won second place at the European Blues Challenge in Toulouse, marking Romania’s first-ever participation in the prestigious competition.

Later that year, in November 2013, the band performed at the renowned Blues Sur Seine festival in France. The Bucharest-based trio was the opening act for Grammy winners Rhiannon Giddens & Leyla McCalla.
