Blues Matters! is a respected British blues magazine, founded by Alan Pearce in 1999. Alan King and Darren Howells (until 2009) previously served as editors-in-chief. The Blues Foundation in Memphis, Tennessee, awarded the magazine the prestigious "Keeping the Blues Alive" (KBA) award in 2007 for Print Media—only the second time a British publication has received this honor and the first for a Welsh production. Previous winners include notable titles like Rolling Stone. In 2014, Blues Matters! also won the European Blues Awards for Best Publication.
